A police team, investigating a case of house breaking and theft at Old Goa, has left for Punjab in search of the suspect, Kulwant Singh, 26, from Amritsar. 

On Thursday, an NRI, Anil Noorie, who has a laundry business in America, in his complaint to the Old Goa police said that he was staying in the rented flat since the last one year with his friend Kulwant. 

But on July 14, when he went to Mumbai with Kulwant to meet his wife and children, who were arriving from the US, Kulwant spiked Noorie's tea and escaped with a bag containing cash of Rs 50,000.
