Goa govt replaces swine flu nodal officer

The axe has finally fallen on Goa's swine flu nodal officer after he publically came out against the govt's lack of funding for the programme. The Goa government on Monday decided to replace the officer.

Goa Health Minister, Vishwajit Rane told PTI, the State had sanctioned Rs 3 lakh for the programme and there is enough funds. Besides, the central government has also given funding for the programmes which can be utilized.

“It was not right to make such statement. It was against the interest of the state,” the minister was quoted as saying.
