The Revenue Minister, Mr Jose Philip D’Souza has raised objection to the government’s decision to convert Cottage Hospital cum Health Centre, Chicalim, into a full fledge Swine Flu centre.
While speaking to the media in Vasco on Monday, the Revenue Minister came out objecting strongly and has even said that the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat and Health Minister, Mr Vishwajit Rane took the decision without consulting him on the matter. “I am not a part of the government’s decision” said Mr D’Souza and has further pointed out that he would oppose the said move in the interest of the people of Vasco.
He however said that he has no objection in keeping a ward as an isolation ward for the Swine Flu patients.
