“If you believe in fairy-tales, you become a part of it,” says the promo of the new Hindi film Aao Wish Karein posted on Facebook, the social networking site. A film which is interwoven around a 12-year-old child's desire to grow up.

The film which has been shot in Shimla, Manali, Mumbai and one song in Goa, is the second film as director for Glen Barretto, who traces his roots to Galgibaga village of Canacona Taluka.

Shetgaonkar feted for Toronto success

Renowned Goan film maker Laxmikant Shetgaonkar, was felicitated  for his outstanding achievement in the field of cinema at the hands of Noted film personality Smt. Shabana Azmi on behalf of  Entertainment Society of Goa at Maqueniz palace Auditorium recently.

Moving Images film club, Goa expressed delight that Goan director Laximikant Shetgoankar has been awarded the International Critics (FIPRESCI) prize in the Discovery Section at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival for his film 'Paltadacho Munis'  (The Man Beyond the Bridge). 

Goa govt honours Shetgaonkar with cash award

The Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat announced a cash award of Rs 25 lakh for filmmaker Laxmikant Shetgaonkar.
