The Ganv Ghor Rakhon Manch (GGRM) has expressed both its shock and outrage at the recent exploits of the members of the Legislature. Their amendment of the Goa Panchayati Raj Act to give powers to bureaucrats turns the logic of Panchayati Raj on its head.

Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 3-1 and entered the quarter-finals of all Goa Benaulim Villagers football tournament at Dando grounds, Benaulim on Wednesday. Curtorim led 1-0 at half time. 

Strong contenders St Jose de Areal SC beat Navelim Sporting 3-0, to enter the semi-finals of the Fraxier trophy soccer tournament, organised by Young strikers Club at St John Baptist grounds, Dando, Benaulim on Sunday.

The winners dominated the match and made a perfect start with winger Melicio Andro connecting a superb cross from the right flank by Fredinco Andro in the 6th minute after veteran Navelim keeper Chandrakant Naik denying Freedy Oliveira twice in the opening minutes.
